MAN HANDLING BEASTS...

On the 14th August, Our lovely Sister Chris invited us over to her house for dinner...She prepared for us so much food and drinks for us that we just cannot thank her enough...

After dinner, came the soft-drinks and the beast...durians as deserts...And the challenge was on for the Elders to open it...hehe...

So there was Elder Studebaker...He's definite that he can take up the challenge...durians...Huh, there's nothing to it...He grew up with durians at home...

So he started...With one hand on the durian and the other holding a knife...Carefully he studied the durian before he tries to open it...

It took him so so long to figure out how to open the thing...And finally he put down his weapon and started to man handle the beast...His expression was a true testimony of how difficult the fight between the man and the beast was...hehe...

And then it came Elder Stevenson...he grip his knife firmly and started to chop on the fruit...Firstly he was chopping at an angle about 45 degrees inward...It didn't work...

And then he tried it another way...45 degree outward...It didn't work too...He was having a hard time trying to open the thing...

Finally he tried the top down direct approach...And it worked...He whacked the beast a few times with his weapon and finally the fruit gave up after a long long time...

Victory is sweet and so is the fruit...After a difficult time with the fruit has made this a beautiful sight...Sweet sweet sight...

After the fight...Elder Stevenson decided to get back at the thorns after they have given him such a difficult time...What a smile on his face...

Well...The big happy family photo...Elder Stevenson with his victorious knife...Hong Soon and Vicky with a heart shaped durian shell...Sister Chris and husband Mr. Lew with a shell with a lot of seeds and Elder Studebaker testifying that durians brings him painful memories...hehe...
